Anaemia
Anaemia is a condition occurring from the lack of red blood cells needed to carry adequate amounts of oxygen to the body’s tissues. Anaemia varies in severity, may be temporary or chronic and can be related to other existing medical conditions.
What can be done?
Screening for anaemia includes iron panel, ferritin, folic acid and vitamin B12 tests, as well as hemoglobin electrophoresis.
