Prostate Cancer Screening ($220)

Prostate Screening Package includes a prostate ultrasound examination, performed using ultrasound imaging technology by trained radiographers.

The prostate is a small gland located below the bladder in men. Imaging of the prostate may be performed to evaluate the size and structure of the gland and to identify abnormalities that may require further medical assessment.

What is Prostate Ultrasound?

A prostate ultrasound uses sound waves to produce images of the prostate gland and surrounding structures.

This examination may help assess structural findings such as:

  • Enlargement of the prostate gland

  • Prostate nodules or irregularities

  • Changes in prostate structure

Who May Consider Prostate Screening?

Prostate ultrasound screening may be considered by individuals who:

  • Are aged 50 years and above

  • Have a family history of prostate conditions

  • Experience urinary symptoms such as frequent urination or difficulty passing urine

  • Wish to include prostate imaging as part of a health screening programme

Individuals with persistent symptoms or concerns should consult a qualified healthcare professional for medical advice.

What to Expect During the Scan?

  • The examination is performed using an ultrasound probe to obtain images of the prostate

  • Ultrasound imaging does not use radiation

Preparation instructions may include:

  • Arriving with a comfortably full bladder if advised by the clinic

  • Wearing comfortable clothing for the examination

Additional instructions may be provided prior to the appointment.

Important Note

This screening package includes ultrasound imaging only.

If abnormalities are identified or if you have symptoms, you may be advised to consult a doctor for further medical evaluation.
